I had this drink last week at TGIFridays. It was so good, I had to make it myself. I love cotton candy anyway but I like the way it adds some sweetness to the drink. Plus, it’s just fun to pour a drink over cotton candy. 🙂

Directions
Shake vodka and juices in a shaker with ice. Pour over cotton candy into a martini glass.

Ingredients
1 can white grape raspberry frozen concentrate juice
1 can pineapple frozen concentrate juice
1 bottle sparkling white grape juice, chilled
1-2 bottles champagne, depending on your taste, chilled
Directions: Combine all ingredients in a punch bowl and enjoy!

Several months ago, I saw a story on a morning show about Lolita Martini Glasses. They showed some really pretty and unique hand painted glasses. I made a mental note to buy one someday. A few months later, I was at the mall with Patrice and discovered that Macy’s had started selling the glasses. I told her about how I saw them on tv and loved them. In August, she bought me one for my birthday. I was so excited! I finally had one. When I saw the box, I hugged her and told her I loved it before I even looked at it. She asked me how I knew I would like it and I told her I would like any of them! And I really did love it. Thanks, Patrice!
So, I decided to start collecting them. Periodically, I will buy one for myself and maybe I’ll get more as gifts for special occassions. (helpful hint to any family and friends that need a gift idea for me! 🙂 )
Last week, I had a cherry limeade martini at Bluefin and this was my attempt to recreate it. After trying 3 or 4 different combinations of ingredients, this is the recipe that tasted the most like what I had at the restaurant. There was a cherry in my drink as well as a lime garnish so I did the same at home but you can’t see the cherry in the picture. 🙂
Cherry Limeade Martini
Ingredients
2 oz vodka
2 oz maraschino cherry flavored syrup
juice of half a lime
splash of sweet and sour
splash of lemon lime soda
lime slice and cherry with stem for garnish
Directions
Pour ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake well. Drain into martini glass. Garnish with cherry and lime.

1 1/2 – 2 oz Absolut Ruby Red vodka
3 oz grapefruit juice
two splashes pineapple juice
Directions
Pour vodka, grapefruit juice and pineapple juice into a shaker with ice cubes. Shake well and strain into a sugar rimmed cocktail glass.
